computer shorted

I have a Lenovo thinkpad. Last night I wanted to watch a movie and in the dark i plugged my headphones into the usb port. The computer died instantly. Is there hope for recovery. It is 6 mo old.

Hello to you too and thanks for replying!

No i did not plug them in all the way i immediately pulled back when i realised. They are not left in. No it will not start up at all. I mean totally dead.

Tru unpluging from power, take the batter out for 10 mins or so and then see if it will start up

Yes, you are great! thanks. I took out the battery and plugged it into the wall and it worked. Great site by the way. you are so kind to answer me right away
