[SOLVED] Windows Visra recovery

I have a Sony VGN-FZ240E with Windows Vista Home Premium installed. Windows has crashed and I did not burn a recovery disc. I am told that the recovery files should be available on my Hard Drive but I am unable to locate any recovery files there. Is there a way to check whether I can repair/re-install my Vista from my hard drive (My hard drive itself is fine - I can boot in safe mode and see the files, etc). I tried F8 on start-up which gives me a whole list of options but nothing related to system repair.

Thanks
