Mystery about my new notebook, please help.
I bought a new notebook, Toshiba L310 S408 on June 8, 2009 , and then I tried to dig more about my new notebook.I used " Get data back for NTFS" to get some information about deleted data in my notebook., but I startled because I found some data that created, modified and accessed on July 7, 2008., and one of them contain a log about adobe updater.
what're they mean? is this mean my new notebook is not really new? is it second? thank you |

Re: Mystery about my new notebook, please help.
Hi
If it is not "Renewed" or "Remarketed" or "Refurbished" should be new. What happens, in general, is that when manufacturers build a system, they do not install every Operating System, program ad update on each system separately. Instead they create a "Master" disk, and then clone that disk to as many other disks as they want. To "bond" the HDD with a particular software Build (as it is called) to a system, a process called Tattoo follows. That said, what it means for you is that there exists on your system an entry that was created or modified July 7, 2008. That particular entry may tell an updater or the operating system what updates need to be installed, or simply verify that an installation took place. It may even be created by the programmer who was involved (in your case someone from Adobe)
