Laptop startup problem

Hello,

I have a PARADIGIT VOYAGER 7521T laptop with Windows XP SP3 running on it.
It has the following problem.
Wenn i have switched it on it is beginning to boot up en starting WIN.
Then i can use for a few minutes and then the screen goes black en starts it up again. After showing WINDOWS XP on the screen the screen goes black again en the two indicators of the HDD and DVD/CD are flashing.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?????

Re: Laptop startup problem

Could be a corrupt Windows or a hard drive going bad. Run HDD diagnostics and then run CHKDSK /R in Recovery Console. It would not hurt if you check its temperature as it may well be overheating.

Re: Laptop startup problem

Thanks for your answer.
I'am going to try to run HDD diagnostics and then run CHKDSK /R in Recovery Console.
The temperature couldn't be the problem because a week a go it worked prefectly and the problem started last sunday. Last tuesday it didn't work also but later in the afternoon it worked the whole afternoon.
