tech help
I have an older model laptop that I let my brother use for a couple yrs and after that it has been out of use. I tried to turn it on for the first time and found out he set a password in the bios(of coarse he for got it). I also noticed that the cmos try had come off and no longer there. Has any one heard of any other ways other then software and jumpers to reset the bios?

Another way is to ask laptop manufacturer (if lorjack's advise would not work) if there is way to override. Other than that we cannot help as forum rules forbid us in assisting password related inquiries. This case will now be closed.
