Inspiron 6000 LCD flicker even after replacing parts
Inspiron 6000. LCD flicker and horizontal lines. Replaced the LCD (which included a new back light), lines went away, flicker still there. Replaced the inverter flicker turns into extreme brightness then digital garbage. Plugged in a VGA monitor and it works fine. Tried 3 inverters, 3 LCDs, 2 cables and all iterations, with all different results. What else is left to try?

Assuming all parts used are compatible parts (or best if same part numbers) then try booting using other operating systems (linux live CD). If symptoms persist in any of the parts combinations then (just guessing here) it could be something on the motherboard.

I don't believe it.. but it seems like the only problem was that the video card need to be reseated. I thought that the video card was integrated until I saw a few pics of motherboards with out it. I had the exact same symptoms as bad LCD, and bad inverter, but it wasn't. I guess I jumped to conclusions because so many people had had similar problems. I hope I can return the parts.
