Sony Vaio Contrast Issue
Hi everyone. I have a Sony Vaio model: PCG-5J5P. This morning when I turned on my computer, everything seemed fine, but after about 30 seconds the contrast just shot straight up. I can barely see certain things that are white or small. I've tried everything to change the settings, but I can't for the life of me find where the contrast setting is. The only keyboard shortcuts are for brightness (FN+F5 or F6). Other forums have suggested FN+Shift+F5/F6 would change contrast, they haven't. I've seen forums suggest FN+the arrow keys, no luck. I've restarted my computer twice, and both times when it first starts the contrast is fine, but then after about 30 seconds it goes crazy again.
I'd appreciate any help! Thanks, Justin |

Re: Sony Vaio Contrast Issue
Boot into BIOS setup only (not Windows) and wait for 30 secs (as per your post). If you experience the same issue, then it could be a problem with your LCD (may be inverter but not sure). Try also with an external monitor.
