low drive space warning on d: drive (recovery)
Good morning,
My buddy has a hp notebook computer and is getting low drive space warning on d: drive (recovery partition). Is this a serious issue or can it be fixed? He recently purchased the computer from a friend. Should he keep it and try to make the necessary repairs or return it and get his money back. I fortunately have never encountered this error on that partition. We will appreciate any help or advice regarding this issue.

Re: low drive space warning on d: drive (recovery)
If it is a recovery partition, then IMO it should be hidden or you cannot put/save anything into it. My suggestion is to access the recovery partition and remove the files your friend has put in there. Another way is to create a recovery disc and do a reinstall this time making use of the whole drive (recovery partition deleted).
