Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook is really slow
My notebook is really slow and it randomly freezes if i'm using it for more than an hour or two, gaming is really crappy too..
My friend suggested it was overheating but even with the cooler it still freezes..then again the cooler might not b powerful enough.. Basically i wouldnt mind just restoring it to factory settings but i lost my recovery disc..and i didnt save a system restore pt either lol so it reverts back to like 2 days ago which doesnt help.. so yeah what do you think i should do? ive run like adaware progs/spyware software and all that and it hasnt found anything.. i just want it to run smoothly - think i can dl the restore disc somewhere and burn it or something? thanks im open to any suggestions..i just want to be able to play a few games lol |

Try this online scanner http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
Also run some hardware tests to check your hard drive and your RAM. If these are error free, may be this one needs help from the Security team.
