Cool Getting programs from dvd to a netbook

I bought an Acer netbook last week which works well. I was under the impression that I could load programs like Quicken which I have on dvd by loading on to a standard pc, connecting the netbook by usb, and changing the location of the download to the netbook. But that doesn't work - programs load to the pc. Can you add any dvd programs to a netbook (that doesn't have dvd drives)? If so, how???

Have you tried a USB connected external DVD drive?

Re: Getting programs from dvd to a netbook

The usb external drive works well for transferring files. But, e.g., the Quicken program's files will transfer, but Quicken itself doesn't start.

IMO you need to install Quicken in your laptop as well.

You can download DVD to Netbook Converter, it can help you to get program\video\audio from dvd to netbook.
P.S for windows users.
