Celeron Laptop freezing[MOVED FROM WINDOWS]

Hi
I have a packard bell laptop 1.3 celeronM 512 mb Ram ,and i am running windows xp pro on it ,i have recently installed it and everything went fine ,the machine starts ok and works ok for a while then just freezes up altogether you cant even press ctrl -alt -del ,nothing ,when you restart its ok for a while then does the same again,i know celerons are not really that good but it did work ok before, can anyone help me.

512 Ram isn't that much, I'd invest in more if I was you. I have 4GBs and it's killing me how slow it is. Also, what kind of processor do you have and how much GHZs?

Are you motherboard drivers up-to-date?

Hi
Cant get it to stay on long enough to ensure all updates ,and it always run ok before with 512 mb of ram ,all fans seem to be worlking and everything is ok in device manager ??

d/load and run the h/drive makers diagnostic utility on the h/drive

i would get more ram it's cheap at present if the l/top supports 2g i would go for 2x1g matching sticks of corsair ram
