Re: Screen resolution help

hello,
that problem occurs because your laptop has a widescreen resolution
try to set the game's resolution the same as your desktop resolution or in the other way
meaning, try to set the desktop resolution to 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 1024 (not widescreen), to change the desktop resolution : Control Panel -> Display -> Settings, now set one of these 2 resolutions I mentioned.

now apply these settings and run the game.

If the game has its own settings and you can set the resolution in the game, and you don't want to change the desktop resolution, look at the Desktop's Res and try to set it the same in the game.

keep us posted

Re: Screen resolution help

I changed my display settings to the ones mentioned;however, when i opened the game it was the same as before. There is no setting in the game to change the display. you can only play in full screen mode.

These are the specs for the game.

Operating System:
Windows® XP/Vista

Minimum System Requirements:
* 200Mhz Pentium
* 16MB RAM
* 160 MB hard drive space
* 16-bit color graphics video card
* 16-bit Window-compatible stereo sound card
* 8X CD ROM
* Mouse and Speakers.

Re: Screen resolution help

hmm, maybe the game does not support that high res
right click on the game's chorcut, or the game's exe file and choose properties, now I have Win XP and I can force any game to run on 640 x 480 resolution
try to see if you can find this in Vista, it should be in compatibility mode

Re: Screen resolution help

I think its one of those games like Starcraft where it'll just stay at whetever resolution its set as default.

Did you play it before and was it ever different?

Re: Screen resolution help

I've played some of the earlier games on my PC ... and they worked fine. This would be the first one i've played on the laptop though.
