I have an Acer Aspire 5520 running on Windows 2000 (not Vista) to make it compatible with the network server at work. I bought a Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard with Setpoint 3.3 software. I installed said software and my touchpad and the function keys stopped working. I have uninstalled Setpoint 3.3 and taken the laptop to a Restore Point prior to the installation of Setpoint. I now have the use of the function keys back but the touchpad is still not working. I have 2 questions: In the device manager what would the touchpad be listed as? (Under mice and other pointers I have two entries which read HID-compliant mouse & PS/2 Compatible Mouse). How do I fix the problem and get the use of my touchpad back? Re: touchpad trouble
Try to reinstall the touchpad drivers. As for the function keys, may be you need the ACER utility program to make them function.
