Packard Bell Easynote SW51-012-B Not booting After Oz thermal grease applied

Hi,
My packard bell wont even get to the bios screen after i applyed some oz thermel grease to my cpu and gpu. I have changed the thermal grease on lots of cpus so i know what im doing and have been carefull not to get it on the pins. Its dead strange, I think it might be the mobo, because i had to remove the cmos battery because i was getting not acpi compliant after bios upgrade. And could not load windows. Next i upgraded the ram to 1.5gb and it had been running fine up until today when i put some oz grease on it. Then it just refused to start. Power on button, the lights come on, not the screen, power light, then hdd light, then BAM!, restarts just like that after 5 seconds, and then keeps restarting again and again. The only way to power off is to remove the battery. It doesent even get to the bios screen before it starts. So i remove the grease and try again and still the same problem. remove everything like the heatsink, dvd burner, leave 1 ram stick in, swop the ram around, iv tryed everything and i still cant get it to boot. The only thing i have not tryed is putting the cmos battery back. But the laptop has been running fine without it for weeks. Any ideas guys? Or do i need a new mobo?
Its a Packard Bell Easynote SW51-B-012 With Vista Ultimate Installed. Any Help much appreciated Full specs here:

Re: Packard Bell Easynote SW51-012-B Not booting After Oz thermal grease applied

did you check it was applied correctly in the link

you have put the cmos battery back in

don't try and run with no h/sink and every time it is disturbed the paste needs to be re done

Re: Packard Bell Easynote SW51-012-B Not booting After Oz thermal grease applied

Yes it has been applied correctly according to the post, so will i need to put the cmos battery back in? Maybe this is the reason it will no longer boot. I cant see why it would stop it from working. I have had the laptop running for some time without a cmos battery, but it is strange that it would stop working all of a sudden because of thermal grease change.

The hdd is brand new. I have taken it to a computer shop and the guy instantly said it had a chipset problem. I am still waiting for the diagnosis...
