dell latitude d505 , I just have no idea, help please if you can

Ok so here is where I'm at. This guy gave mehis laptop. I deleted everything and reinstalled xp proffesional on it . I have wireless in my apartment that everyone can use but I have no idea how to get the internet going , the only network it's connected to is apparently a LAN one (1394 net adapter) , I have no idea how to set up wireless or do I even have one? A couple problems it has that I noticed is it has no soundcard and can't run games (no graphics card I think) and when I press f12 when it first starts up (at the diagnostics) it shows there is error code 1000-0333 graphics test as well as 1000-0142 DDT short status test fails. Not to mention it takes like an hour just to start up . Can anyone help? Can I at least go on the Internet? Is this laptop complete junk? What do I do?

I suggest you run HDD diagnostics as well as RAM diagnostics. Use Hitachi DFT for the HDD and use Memtes86+ to test the RAM.

Post back what you find out.
