Hi, I have similar problem on my hp pavillion zt3000, when i start it comes up with a message "BOOTMGR IS MISSING" and won't continue. Anybody can give idea to resolve this problem?

see if you can borrow an xp disk and boot into the recovery console and run

fixboot

Thanks for your reply...Actually we did inserting a Win XP ecovery cd and still stop. Any possible problem you might think of...Cheers

you cannot access the recovery console from a restore disk
