What is this part in an Acer 5100
Might someone tell me where this came from? I found it floating inside the case.
I don't know if it is my doing or my grandsons doing. It is shaped like this: two flanges, 90 degrees to one another, 1 hole in a flange that is rounded, that flange is bent at 45 degrees to the other , the second flange is half as thick as the first, and is approximately 5/16 long. the longest distance between two points is approximately 1/2 inch. |

Re: What is this part in an Acer 5100
It looks like a part of the hinge... a broken part perhaps.

Re: What is this part in an Acer 5100
I wish it was, but, there are no signs of breaks or solder points on the component. It is not discolored either. The only real distinguishing point is a knife edge on one edge.
thanks for input though |
