I primarily surf the internet and download music and movies. I like to have the capability to do many things at once. I want to download HD movies and play them on my HD TV. I assume I would need a HDMI connection... What else will I need to pla these HD movies on my big screen tv? Any help is genuinly appreciated.



Budget: How much money are you willing to spend on the laptop?
-I am willing to spend $1200

Screen: What size screen do you want, and do you need widescreen?
-I am flexible with the size of the screen to help kee me within budget.

Brands: Are there any brands you want or don't want to buy?
-I do not want a Sony as they are too expensive.

Mobility: How much will you need and how long does the battery need to last?
-It will be in the same place for 90% of the time.

Durability: Does this laptop need to be sturdy or durable/semi-durable?
-I take very goodcare of my laptops, and I do not need a heavy duty casing

Multitasking: Will you be multitasking with this laptop and if so, how much?
-I need to run MULTIPLE programs at once, so I assume memory is of upmost importance.

Gaming: Will you be gaming and if so, how much and how new are the games?
-I do not play games on the computer. I primarily want to download HD movies and play them on my 60inch 1080p TV

Calculations: Will you be doing any intense calculations or multimedia encoding?
-I will not be doing any calculations

Storage: How much storage will you need and what will you be storing?
-I would like to have two hard drives if possible, incase one goes bad (which has happened to me often)

Optical Media: Will you need to burn any optical media like CDs or DVDs?
-Id burn cd's rarely.

Operating System: Do you want Windows XP or Vista, or Linux compatibility?
XP or VISTA
