HP DV8233CL fan grinding
I've had this problem for awhile. The fan on my notebook is grinding like no other. I know its not the hard drive because I've had that replaced....twice. It is so loud the whole library can hear it. Is there a way to fix it without having to replace the fan assembly? I really don't want to have to fork over 80$ for just a little fan. Thanks

Try cleaning it. Use a can of compressed air and see if it helps. Of course replacing it would be good but it is not an option.
