Advent 6553 please help if poss

H i i have an advent 6553 laptop and wondered if you could help,
i have had the laptop a little less than two months and today it turned itself off and wont turn back on.
Its still makeing a noise and i can hear the fan spinning, also when i plug the charger in the light comes on, the screen is black and then all of a sudden the power just cuts out.
Can you help????

If power cuts out immediately right after power ON it could mean a short in the motherboard (or any attached devices) or it could be a defective RAM. I suggest you remove all external devices and try to power ON. If problem remains, replace all the RAM with a good/working module.

If a new/good/working RAM does not improve anything, remove the hard drive and try to boot into BIOS setup just to see if laptop starts or not.

By the way do this with battery removed... use only AC while doing these tests.

Post back what happens.
