Laptop NEWB questions!
In the distant past (several years ago) I built my own PCs and was an avid TSF poster and regard this forum highly. My Pcs have quietly served me and still are. I recently got laid off and got another job as a dump truck driver. 2/3rds of the time we sit and wait for orders so I'm contemplating purchasing my first laptop and acquiring a high speed wireless connection to help more fully utilize my time. I'm pretty ignorant of laptops so some guidance would be helpful. In general I prefer Intel and ATI but since the ATI/AMD thing I guess getting both of those in a laptop is a long shot. Battery life and durability are going to be the most important factors. The laptop needs to fit in my lunchbox (huge cooler) so a 10-14 inch screen would be max probably leaning toward the smaller end. Large keys on the keyboard would be nice since I have large hands. It might be nice to game some but that's not the most important issue. I looked at some of the "wee PCs" at costco and they'd work but I hoped to get a little larger screen. Is a 10-12 hour battery life totally out of the question? I'm completely green so please help. Info or links to some good laptop guides would be nice. I need to get up to speed fast. I don't want to buy something that I'll end up hating. Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Laptop NEWB questions!
What is your budget? Also, if you were to play games, then which ones would you play?
I found a couple laptops: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834115556 This one is good and cheap. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834147926 This one is a bit more, but the graphics are much better. They're not great, but good for light gaming. They will both probably get maybe 3 hours of battery life. But thats only if you have the power settings on low and aren't watching videos and stuff. But I found this netbook: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220505 Which boasts 9.5 hour battery life. However, gaming would be limited to even older games than the previous two. Let us know what you think.
