Acer (Sony) Aspire one laptop monitor is black screened

This is not my laptop but i may had broken my friends acer aspireone laptop by dropping it and when i tried to boot it up the monitor had never came on it was just a completely blank and black screen with no cursor/pointer. i'm not the best with computers but my friends laptop had never done this before until i dropped it and i took it to my house so he won't realize it's broken, but i cannot have it for long or he'll find out it's missing so please help A.S.A.P. :(

I am not sure if it is possible in Aspire One, how about hooking it up with an external monitor? If all is well in the monitor then you may have a problem with your LCD or backlight.

You can also try the steps here: blank screen

If symptom persists, then consider replacing the LCD or the inverter.
