Upgrading acer aspire one to windows vista
Hi, im planning on upgrading my acer aspire one to windows vista. I have the a150 version, running xp with 1.5gigs of ram, 120gig hardrive, and i before i do it i'd like to get all the correct drivers for it, could you tell me where to look please?

i'd highly recommend against it as i believe vista won't be a joy on this platform.
i would look on acer's website first

its ok, there are several videos on yutube etc with people who have vista on their aa1's, check this one out : YouTube - Acer Aspire One A150 on Vista
all semms towork fine, boots in 38 seconds- sounds gd to me. |

well, i checked and vista drivers are far and few. if you absolutly insist of installing vista, check on the parts and products in the netbook and go to there manufacturer website to download drivers.
for example your chipset is a Intel D945GM, here are drivers for Vista Home premium 32 bit you can use SIW = System Information for Windows to get details about the components in your system

yeah, i was wondering about that... do i have to use x32 vista? cos if i do im gonna have to hunt out my x32 disk cos at the mo im usin x64 on my desktop...

forget that question, ive found my x32 disk, and also, i forgot to mention, im going to be using vlite to slim down the install, cos i know that my aa1 wont be able to handle aero etc, so that should make things a bit easier =D

right, ive slimmed the install down to 699mbs =D so im all gd on that, and it works cos ive just dona a full install on a spare hdd i had, just need to go and get the drivers now =D
