Re: Problem BIOS acer 4710. plz

I am really sorry but I cannot clearly get what you try to say... please correct me.... my understanding of this is, your problem is that your laptop keeps on rebooting each time you power it ON, is this correct?

Do you see it reach the screen that shows Windows is loading? How about if you try to go into BIOS setup?

Post back any info on this. Thanks

Can you still go into Safe Mode? If yes, have you also tried going into Last Known Good configuration?

If you have the XP install CD, try to do a repair install.

Re: Problem BIOS acer 4710. plz

You need the AHCI driver for XP from here http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers...k/as_4710.html.

In another computer download the driver and extract into a folder. One of the files is a folder F6 Floppy Utility. Open that folder and inside you will see two other folders (f6flpy32 and f6fly64) and a readme file. Depending on what XP you are using 32bit or 64bit, open the appropriate folder and run the program inside that folder. You need to have a floppy diskette drive and a blank floppy disc in that computer and ready for use before you run that program.

When you load XP install CD, you will see a message at the bottom of the screen (something like 'F6 to load drivers'). Press F6 and it will load the drivers from the floppy drive.

Once it finds the drivers, XP install CD will proceed without 'no HDD found' errors.

I believe you can also use this http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...ional&lang=eng

Download the ZIP file from the link above, extract and copy in a floppy disc.
