Hi guys.
I hope you guys can assist me, but my laptop restarts itself about 20 seconds after i just logged on. before it logsoff and restarts there is asplit second bluescreen which i suppose is an error screen. I have started up on 'safe mode' in the attempts to restore the hardrive, but that did not work. i also attempted to install windows xp starter 3, but it seemed to not work either. Is there anything else that can be done? I have no idea what that blue screen said as it disapears far too quickly. ![]() Reply please. B

Re: Lenovo restarts 20 seconds after logging on Windows!!!
Uncheck AUTOMATIC RESTART in System Properties (in Startup and Recovery under Advanced tab). So instead of rebooting it will show you the BSOD screen with the error. It would also be good if you include the minidumps.

Do you have the dump files?

Re: Lenovo restarts 20 seconds after logging on Windows!!!
Hi there thank for all the help. I have saved the MemTest onto my flashstick to run on my laptop. However, i have to run my laptop on safety mode or else it restarts itself 10 seconds max on normal mode. On safety mode when i run the program it says all my drivers are disconnected? Any ideas?

Re: Lenovo restarts 20 seconds after logging on Windows!!!
You can run Memtest off the CD drive... get the ISO.ZIP file from memtest.org. Extract the ISO file into your Desktop and burn the image into a blank CD. How to do that... read document as linked on my sig. That would make you a bootable CD... meaning, you do not need Windows to run it... so no fear of restarts.
