Upgrade for the Acer Aspire 3690.
This computer is complete torture, the graphics card is just, argh, I'm looking to improve my FPS on a simple 2D game.
I've contacted Acer support, but I need to pay for all this extra info, according to them though I can not replace my graphics/video card. Is there any other way I can improve my FPS, maybe a replacement of the CPU, any help is greatly appreciated, thank you. |

Re: Upgrade for the Acer Aspire 3690.
IMHO except for RAM and hard drives, there's not much room for upgrades (i.e. CPU or graphics card...) in laptops. If ever there are available upgrades (chances are close to zero), they would cost like gold.
As for the CPU replacement, yes it is possible but IMO would not have significant performance improvements in games. My advise is get a high end entertainment or gaming laptop (ask your computer dealer or read some reviews in the internet).

Re: Upgrade for the Acer Aspire 3690.
Ahh, gottcha.
Looks like my only option is buying a brand spanking new computer, was hoping to avoid that, but eh tough luck. Thanks for the help/info, greatly appreciated. |
