Problem with screen following laptop fall
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-11v that is 6 months old with a 13.3" TFT 1280 x 800 ( WXGA ) - TruBrite screen.
It fell off a table today with a mug full of lukewarm coffee and now although it is not cracked and appears to be working perfectly, about a third of the screen is a different level of brightness. I guess the best way to describe it would be like a page with a waterstain on it. I can see everything on the screen but it is a bit annoying and distracting. Replacing the screen would cost about half the initial cost of the screen so I'm not sure if it would be worth it. I'm just wondering is there anything at all that I can do to improve it? Is there anything I can replace etc? Really appreciate any advice on this. Thanks |

Re: Problem with screen following laptop fall
Hi alphalax,
If the spill has penetrated the LCD, you might consider replacing it or just use an external monitor.
