Dell 9300 screen problem
Hi guys,
I am having problem with my dell inspiron 9300. When I turn on the computer I get the windows starting screen and then the screen turns blue (this is normal). After that the screen goes almost blank, its almost impossible to see the login screen but can see the login screen only when I look at the screen very hard. When I smelled the lower left portion of the screen it smelled funny. The screen spec is 17 inch UltraSharp Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife, my video card is 64MB ATIs Mobility Radeon X300 and I am using Windows XP professional. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Your help would be very much appreciated guys. |

Re: Dell 9300 screen problem
Try going into BIOS settings (nothing to do here but wait for like 15 to 30mins) and see if the screen dims just like what you described (although that happened in Windows login screen).

Re: Dell 9300 screen problem
It seems to be a problem with your LCD, try connecting an external monitor when the screen goes down to see if that happens with that also. If doesn't, get the lcd replaced.
