[SOLVED] Toshiba satalite A45-S120/ internet issues

I recently acquired this laptop, it is running XP Professional and has a Netgear wpn511u wireless card. It logged on to the public wireless where I live right away. I gave it to my parents and set up a new Netgear router there, and it wont log on, I tried it at a friends today and the same problem. It sees the router, it brings up the name and signal strength, but I can't get on the internet. I have gone through downloading new drivers for it, resetting the firewall and trying to have windows set up the connection to no avail. Any ideas?

So it connects WIRELESS to the router but no internet? How about if it is WIRED? While connected via Wireless, run IPCONFIG and post back the results.

I resolved the issue by installing a newer wireless card.
