HP Laptop Speakers

So, I was on my laptop just doing whatever. When I went to youtube to watch a video, no sound came on. The sound worked earlier, maybe 15 minutes ago.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!

Try to reboot and try a music CD if you get sound.

Lose data on reboot? How would that happen if you are just doing a restart... Oh yes... of course you will lose your data if you do not save them before you restart.

Try Shutdown then power ON again. Open Sound/Audio properties in Control Panel and see if your volumes are set on high and sound/speakers are not on MUTE. Try also using a headphone. If sound is not on mute and volume is set to high but you do not get sound in your speakers or headphones, check device manager for any unknown devices or devices yellow or red marks. Reinstall audio drivers if needed.

If you did all of these and still you have no sound, may be your sound controller is dead... and with that you should consider replacing your motherboard.
