Driver Issues

Hi there, i have a Gateway MX6455( I believe) laptop that i ran Linux on for awhile. I decided to revert back to XP, and after reformatting and re-installing XP i realized that i could not find the mobo driver disk that should have been supplied. (I bought this laptop a few years ago, it's out of warranty now.) So i was obviously missing a couple of drivers once the installation was finished. I had some difficulty tracking down the drivers manually, so i got ahold of Driver Detective. I downloaded all the drivers that it said were missing or out of date, and now there are issues with them. I have no sound capability at all, the Driver for Realtek AC'97 is giving me a Code: 10. I tried reinstalling the driver multiple times with no luck. I can use everything else fine, it does pop up with some error relating to the Modem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you need any more info i'll gladly supply it.
