Hp Compaq presario V6000

I have this Laptop with AMD processor which if i power it, the light will come on, even i can charge it and it will charge normal but still i can not make use of the computer because the board will not come up. what do you think i can do?

you need to explain the problem better

i have no idea what you mean by the board will not come up

Yeah, thanks what i mean by the board will not come up is that, when i press the power button the computer will not boot and it will just show the light on,if i try to eject the CD-Rom it will come out that show that power is send to the board.

do you receive the single post beep
hear the fan running
hear the h/drive
shine torch onto the screen and see if you see anything
check the screen has not been dimmed

yes the fan is running, the h/drive light is on like it want to boot but their is no shine torch onto the screen, i try external monitor on it but no display on the screen and no beep sound.

it sounds like the video chip or m/board
