no screen but get screen when a monitor is plugged in

ive got the same problem with my laptop. but i dont have to remove the battery to start the computer, i have to hold the power button for a few seconds and then it starts, and if it still doesnt start i hold the power button again until it does. if i connect another monitor to it, there i can see it but not in the laptops screen. i still dont know what the problem could be

it looks like the backlight/inverter has gone
