Pioneer dvr stopped working!
Ok, so it used to work fine, absolutely no problems. Then one day, it just refused to recognise any cd or dvd I put in it. It would go round a couple of times, then just give up.
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop, and it's a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-K13A. I have searched for info on it everywhere, but it seems to be too old for Pioneer to care anymore - it's only about 5 years old. Anyway, I have a feeling that the answer is gonna be that the laser, or whatever has jsut packed up and to replace the whole thing. But i don't wanna do that. So please, give me some other options? Thanks. P.S. I'm a girl, and not amazing at computers, so please be nice and use simple terms. Thanks |

Re: Pioneer dvr stopped working!
Yep sounds like you have a dead drive there or as per your post 'has just packed up'
... try cleaning the lens and pray... sorry but these things die too ... unfortunately replacement is not an option for you as per your post.
