Ibm T30 laptop mini Pci Cisco AIR-MPI350

Hello,
I have an IBM T30 laptop. I haven't been able to connect to my wireless router. The laptop uses a mini Pci Cisco AIR-MPI350 which states is working in the device manager. I have reinstalled win xp pro and d/l drivers thinking that would help, it didn't. I can get on line with the ethernet cable. I have tried to refresh wireless connection. It reads no wireless connection try turning on wireless switch. Don't think I have one. Wireless connection works fine with desktop in my basement. Think maybe the cisco card is bad or maybe laptop has a problem? Thanks for your help in advance it is most appreciated.
Dan

Hi Dan,

Yep your suspicions may be correct... try another wireless card so you will know if it is the card or not.

Also check in Device Manager if the card is recognized and enabled. Also check the wireless card configuration (Network Connections and Properties).

Hey Triggerfinger,
Yes I will have to try another wireless card, as I did check all that you have told me to do already. Sorry it took so long for me to respond. There was a death in my family.
Thanks for your time triggerfinger.

Re: Ibm T30 laptop mini Pci Cisco AIR-MPI350

Oh Sorry, I wanted to ask you if it is possible for me to recover pics/data on a hard drive that has been erased and reloaded with a new o/s? I lost all my sons graduation pics as well as my trip to Hawaii?
Thanks again
Dan

You mean your files from a hard drive that has been formatted and OS is installed on it already? Personally, I doubt if you still can although there are tools/software programs that you can use to recover files after a format... like this... http://www.easeus.com/landing/format...FRFWagodK1Amnw

Thanks I might just try that. It says it will work with what I have done. I guess we will see.
