Volume Control Dial Broke Off (Toshiba Satellite M115-S3144)

Hi,

My laptop(Toshiba Satellite M115-S3144)'s volume dial broke off when I was putting my laptop back together. Is there a way to disable volume control by the dial? I've tried to adjust the volume through the sound control panel on the computer but it didn't do anything. Thank you.

You mean you tried it in Sound and Audio Devices Properties in Control Panel?

Looks OK... may be a wrong driver perhaps? Check in Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers... post a screenshot if possible.

I mean put a screen shot of the expanded view of Sound/Audio in the Device Manager and not the specific CODEC.

The one I encircled is the sound/audio controller. Run Everest and post summary here.
