Additional Display Issues
I have a Gateway notebook for work, running XP professional. I use a dock as an adapter for a second Plug N Play monitor I have. My laptop will not recognize the second monitor as Plug N Play anymore and will not save the display settings. Everything worked fine until last Thursday. What do I do now? PLEASE HELP. I am desperate!

Is it possible to connect directly to the laptop? If not have you tried other monitors? I ask because there are many variables in between and each can be the cause. As for saving the settings... try updating your video drivers (get from Gateway) also update your Windows.
