Hello,

A while ago my charger for my laptop wasnt working,it wouldnt charge the battery and eventually the battery for the laptop was completely empty. So i bought a new charger which is exactly the same as the old one.

But now when i charge it i smell burning coming from where the power cable plugs into the laptop. and the light on the charger is flashing.

Any idea whats wrong with it? and any rough ideas how much it will cost to get fixed?

Hi Ali,

Where does the smell come from (from the laptop's dc connector)? Check the ac adapter output jack for any damages or physical defects. Also, have your laptop checked in a repair shop or you may check the dc connector if it has become loose (you may need to open the laptop to access this).
