Battery............

I have a laptop Compaq Presario V3000 AMD Turion 64 x 2. It does not comes on by battery power but will bootup fine using AC power. Once it is on using AC power it will work fine even if it is disconected from AC power and will use battery. In other words seems to me like it needs a jum start using AC adapter......please help

Try cleaning the battery terminals of the laptop. Remove the battery and place it back making sure it is seated properly. Also check your model of V3000 from the link below, it your exact model is included in the list (do not mind the symptoms).
