Re: trouble installing drivers

Best if you can post the exact message. Also it would help if you can include in your post the Device Instance ID (see Properties of device in Device Manager).

Re: trouble installing drivers

The problem with the integrated cam has been solved, I somehow managed to download a driver from the net. The touchpad however keeps giving me a headache.
The device name is 'Alps Pointing' and whenever I want to run the driver, the following error messages pops up: DLL could not be opened.
I have checked in device manager for the ID you asked, but must admit that I dont really know where to look for it.
thanks for your help anyway.

Re: trouble installing drivers

In Device Manager do you see any device with yellow marks? If yes, right click on the device and click on Properties. Select DETAILS tab. Copy the Device ID and post here.

Re: trouble installing drivers

I checked that, but no yellow marks to be seen.
The driver i am having trouble with is the one for the touchpad. The touchpad normally has a built in scroll function. The scroll function is not working, the rest of the touchpad's functions are working normal.

Re: trouble installing drivers

Uninstall the Touchpad first in Device Manager. Also uninstall any program in ADD/REMOVE that has some relation to Touchpad or Synaptics or Alps pointing device. Reboot. Install the drivers from the link I posted previously.
