Laptop keeps restarting when I press the enter button while typying

I have a Toshiba A200 Series with Windows Vista. I haven't even had it for a year yet. Lately it has been freezing while I'm on the internet. Also when I'm typing and press the Enter button, the laptop restarts itself. This is getting very annoying. Any suggestions?

Does it behave the same (restart when you press ENTER key) if you use a USB external keyboard?

Unfortunately no, I haven't. I don't have one of those (usb external keyboard) available to me.

It would be good if you can test it with an external keyboard so you will know if it is the keyboard or your Windows installation.

Another option is if you can try may be is to go into BIOS settings. Once in BIOS settings try your ENTER key. If the laptop reboots it could be your keyboard that may need replacement. If not, then may be you are looking at something in Windows... may need to be repaired or may be you need to reinstall.
