Dell Inspiron 9300 17" LCD Screen Problem, please help (youtube video included)
Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 for about three years now. I had a vertical line issue on my screen and it was replaced by Dell back in October 2008. It has been 4 months, now my screen is flickering during booting process and the screen is basically messed up (pixels, colors, texts are all over the place), then crashed and shut down by itself. I plugged the laptop into an external monitor and it is having the same problem. So I'm thinking it is not the LCD problem. Maybe the video card? It could be video card or the LCD but I noticed it does not happen the whole time... only once in the video. Try with linux live CD (i.e. Knoppix or Ubuntu) and see if it happens like it does in Windows.
