Toshiba Laptop - Dead Display
The display on my Toshiba A215-S4747 Laptop suddenly shows nothing. When I switch on I can hear the sound as if it is trying to access the hard disk (although I don't see the HD LED coming up) plus the CPU fan but nothing happens beyond that. The only light I see is the power LED stays ON. I plugged an external monitor to the UGV video port and I don't see anything on that monitor either. I don't even see BIOS coming up. Can you give some ideas to where to begin? I can insert a CD and I can hear it is being accessed.
This is only a little more than year old and just ran out of the warranty. Many thanks in advance. Gamini |

Re: Toshiba Laptop - Dead Display
Looks like your system is booting up but you cannot see anything on the screen. Try to boot it up again and wait for like 5 to 10 minutes (as if waiting for Windows to come up), toggle (Fn+F4 in some brands/models.. check in your User Manual) switch as if transferring from LCD to VGA external display.
