4 year old Sony. Was working fine. Will not fully boot up at log-in. Keeps returning to 'Ctrl-Alt-Dlt' window. Cannot get to boot from OEM CD either.
Tried opening in 'Safe Mode' but is now asking for a 'password' which is unknown. (The one used for the last 4 years is now not recognised)? Any way of re-setting or forcing boot from CD-Rom, by-passing Windows log-in window? *All backed up manually and as restore back-up files so no danger of loss of date - just wanna get my baby back! If anyone has any ideas or advice - I would appreciate it. Many thanks. Bubbles... |

Re: Sony Vaio VGN-A295HP no booty
Have you changed the boot order in the BIOS to boot off the CD drive before the hard drive?

Re: Sony Vaio VGN-A295HP no booty
Hi Bubbles,
In as much as we want to help.. forum rules forbid us to assist in any password bypass related inquiries. I suggest you call Microsoft or Sony Customer service. I believe they have a solution for your problem. I am closing the case now.
