I have a HP hdx18 laptop running Vista Oem version, I just got it from the store and had it running for one day. The following day I turned it on and it froze on the hp invent startup screen. I have pressed the F buttons but my comp will say for example F10 ... Systems BIOS setup, at the bottom of the screen but it just freezes there. System recover and restore does not work it freezes. I have tried removing the RAM and the hdds that did not help. I also removed the battery and such with no results, the cd drive also freezes, i cannot do anything with the keyboard cuz it just freezes up so i'd like to know any hardware ways to fix it without replacing parts. Please and thanks.

Re: New HP laptop HDX18 freezes on HP invent startup screen
Try with a new or good/working RAM. Yes, remove all the RAM that you originally have in there... start with that and see if you get past the HP INVENT logo splash or enter BIOS settings.
