Laptop problem, Will Not Boot.
Hello everyone,
I'm new here so I'm not sure if this thread's in the correct place or not. I have a MSI Notebook that I purchased from ibuypower. http://www.msicomputer.com/NB/produc...?model=MS-163A I've had it for almost a year on the dot, it came with vista and has been downgraded to XP. My problem is this, I was browsing the web a week ago when it inexplicably went dead, no warning at all, everything just turned off. I pressed the power button, the power light came on along with the CPU fan. Then the power light turns off for about 2 seconds, turns back on and that's it. The LCD doesn't light up at all, there isn't the surge when everything powers up, nothing. I've tried turning it on with only the battery, I've tried turning it on with only the AC adapter, nothing changes. I have a Universal AC adapter with an LED indicator, the light stays on when it's plugged into the laptop. From what I read if it were a short circuit the LED would turn off when plugged in, but then again I'm not 100% on this so I could be wrong. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. |
