[SOLVED] keyboard is erratic, dell laptop, 600M

The keyboard is erratic and jumps the cursor around. I bought a new keyboard and it worked for a while couple of days. What could be the root cause and fix? note - an external remote keyboard works fine

thanks

Does it have a touchpad? Try disabling the touchpad (probably too sensitive).

Re: keyboard is erratic, dell laptop, 600M

thanks, that appears to fix it. How do I adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad so I can turn it back on and get rid of the mouse? I tried going to control pane. mouse and I did not see a tab for adjustment of tourchpad.

I agree.. it should on the Touchpad controller icon (see taskbar) or in Control Panel.
