advent 7077
ive got an advent 7077, p4, 512 ram, 80g hard drive. my prob is, it switches on the fan spins but no screen, it sometimes boots up then beeps rapidly and shuts down help !

Try booting with RAM from another laptop or a good/working spare RAM module. If symptoms persist, remove everything else except mobo, lcd, keyboard/power ON switch. Post back what you find out.
