Thumbs Up Advent 4211-C

Hi. My Advent Notebook would not start. After pressing the start button info appears:
BOOTMGR is compressed
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
After i've done it this same info comes up.
Over and over again...
Please help.

Re: Advent 4211-C

Pop in your installation media for Vista DVD and power ON.
Boot from CD/DVD drive and select 'Repair....'.
Select your OS installation then click the button that says 'Load Drivers'.
Right-click on the drive you tried to compress, and deselect 'Compress this Drive'.
Click APPLY then try to reboot.

Re: Advent 4211-C

Thanks for the advise. Unfortunately I cannot perform any actions on the machine. Do you think that's the only solution? I know, I sound like gnom but in this field I totaly rely on opinions of others

Re: Advent 4211-C

I believe there are other ways too... I am just not familiar with the others.

One way I see (but this may be too dirty) is to format and reinstall... I do not think you would go that way
