Laptop Display

Hi, I want to buy a dell laptop. But i have a problem choosing the right display that fits my needs. As a student i am going to read and write lots of things with my laptop , not watching movies nor looking at pics. So i want a display that i can read on it for long hours without eye fatigue. Therefore, what kind of display do you recommend, matte or glossy ?

Re: Laptop Display

It also depends on the lighting conditions under which the laptop would be used predominantly. If it will be used mostly in places with diffuse lighting, I would go with glossy. The problem with glossy though is that sometimes if you have the wrong kind of lighting the reflection of that lighting will overwhelm all the information on the screen, so if you are going to use the laptop in sunny outdoor areas or areas with a lot of powerful spotlights, you have to be careful with how you orient the screen so that reflection is minimized.
